WHAAAAT? You don't know Dragonlance? Ok, well there's a lot to tell. It started as a campaign setting for D&D in um... IDK, a long time ago~
Krynn is a deep, mystical world with a lot going on. The original trilogy, Dragonlance Chronicles, is a MUST for any fantasy fan. Seriously. Dragonlance Legends is the direct sequel to those, and again I can't recommend it enough. Also, Raistlin Majere is one of the SINGLE best characters to ever be written. Ever.

Have you read J. R. R. Tolkien's works? Are they similar to those?

I'd say they are similar in spirit, but not in execution. They're a lot easier to understand than say, the Silmarillion. There's a lot more blatant magic and there are clerics and gods and stuff. The 'halflings' here are known as kender and they habitually steal everything they see without even realizing it.

I'll definitely have to give the series a go then! I think I'm really missing out xD
As for the Silmarillion, I'm in love with the complex language used in it, it's rather exhilarating xo

It's a really good series about demons (who aren't as bad as you'd think) and people who control them. It's surprisingly light-hearted and quite a fun read but it has action and a good plot to it too.
